Came for the Toad gags, stayed for the overly long outro.
the outro the main course
Good job.
Though not without its flaws, this is a very enjoyable "cute spooky" (in a good way) movie, with an interesting concept and plot, nice (albeit rushed) artwork, and the fact you got your nephew to voice the trick-or-treater at the end is a really cute addition too.
However, there wasn't much animation, mostly special effects I could've done in OpenShot or some other video editor. I know you only had a week to finish this, possibly less, so I can mostly forgive this.
I also found the voices painful to listen to: it keeps clipping, especially when it's loud. The laughter and at the very end, the "or DIE" bit are both very good (or bad) examples.
Your voice is good, and your nephew's didn't clip at all, but for future reference, consider paying attention to how much the audio is gaining during recording, use a limiter, and balance things up in post-production.

It's a literal creampie. Don't let the title/thumbnail fool you. It's an actual pie in the face as seen on TV.
This is a great trailer. I'm not denying that.
An interesting plot revolving around hockey, lots of complicated action scenes, detailed frame by frame animation, sort of a blend between anime-esque proportions and the stylization of Western comic books. I can't imagine being able to make something like that in my lifetime.
However, I don't like how the way mouths are drawn. They may look too big, or placed lower compared to their eyes and nose (the noses themselves are rather big, which sometimes make their faces look derpy, although the 3 guys in 0:45 look fine.
IMO some of the special effects used throughout the trailer seem overdone, if not unnecessary. For example: the screens at 0:11, 0:26 and 1:37 drive my attention away from the character(s) and the text, while the dot pattern oftentimes looks filtered over the background rather than integrated into the art-style.
Although Impact is a good, I feel like you could use other fonts as well.
Overall, a lot of great potential, though there's still a few flaws to iron out. Can't wait for the full thing to come out.
Yup, agree.

Review sent on behalf of Hermes Conrad. It was weird to say the least.
Hermes was in our first batch, great guy!
I'll admit, it's a very helpful and well-made video, but maybe not on the Movie Portal.
Newgrounds recommends linking a YouTube upload alongside the finished piece already on the Art Portal: (example: this strip)

Quick tip: [No Audio] is not a selling point.
