It just experiment. I make it only in one day, so of course I don't think this animation is worth anything at all. And there was also a problem with time, I had the idea of Broccoli Fingers brother Salad fingers. But I just can't do it in a short amount of time. So I decided not to do anything complicated on this Pico day, but next year I will start do the animation in advance of the announcement.
I like what people have suggested.
Also the animation's pretty decent. It's very fluid and expressive and done frame by frame, but it seriously needs some cleanup. There's also no background, just a white void.
ALSO MY COMMENT FOR WHAT HAPPENS NEXT:
The fish gets stuck up the guy's nose.
Eyyyy thank ya! Yea that's true the animations line work is pretty messy n stuff.
Sucks the music's gone. You could at least pick out some new music from the Audio Portal
I wanted to but none that I saw fit as much as the one I originally put in :/
There wasn't really any animation in this one, just some still images trying to rip off ENA.
lol it does looks like ENA! XD
but it's suppost to be a character name "the collector" from The Owl House show
You know what would be really funny? What if at the end, he ends up completely demolished EXCEPT his balls.
I'm also giving this a 3.5 because of the short length and that Duke wasn't really animated that much. Plus the whole thing was animated in 24 hours if the end credits are to be believed.
You know if I'd ever do an alt ending, I'd totally do that. And do a quick zoom in on the balls and one of them says "I'm Duke's BALLS OF STEEL".
Music pans from right ear to left. Keep it consistent or it's going to get annoying.
Ah! I didn't think sound would do that with a source set to infinite range. Lesson for the next one, then.
I can see a lot of corners were cut in order to achieve even 50 minutes of animation. Characters are usually only shown from the waist up, barely move aside from their eyes and mouth. They're also never use any additional poses. This results in you being able to push this out quicker, but it comes at the cost of quality. About 60-70% of this animation is just talking heads and the rest still don't even animate that well, such as in 16:57, to give an example. Look at how the protagonist jumps. Does it look very janky to you?
I can't comment much on the writing + dialogue, since it's in Portuguese, but thankfully there's subtitles.
SUGGESTIONS:
- 10 minutes is more time than you'll ever need here, so aim for that.
- Try to actually make your characters move.
- Don't reuse the same pose in 20 different scenes.
- I've also noticed an inconsistent outline thickness. If I had to guess it's because the smoothness is set too high. Set it to 40-45
