Even though it's nice that the graphics and presentation are a little better (themed around the Game Boy) it doesn't look like you changed the gameplay much, (which itself is on the easy side and the only real challenge is not losing your beat) and still feels Game and Watch-esque.

Have a look at the Game and Watch Gallery series, which have a collection of multiple games, each one having both a 'classic' mode, which recreates the original, and a 'modern' mode, which revamps the graphics + gameplay in a way that's not possible on the original Game and Watch system.

If I was to give this game the same level of magic I did for Gun Shit Die, I would've taken that approach, ie. in 'modern' mode, there'd be smoother animation + movement for both Tricky and the grunts, the grunts move in different patterns, and maybe have Sanford, Deimos, Hank, etc that move in less predictable patterns and take more hits, only being knocked back if not killed.

Thanks for the review, I will take a look and perhaps even make an update to this pseudo remake

Could use with some sound effects for opening up the balls, but otherwise perfect!

TROPHIES DONE (7/65):
- Curse of the FP
- BB-10 @chris-the-stick
- Tricky the Clown
- Jack Serious: @ThatJohnnyGuy's character
- Marsh Barsch
- Cleetus McBill Sr (PPK Amateur Trophy) from @53xy83457's Project Pixkill
- The Back Alley Legend of NG: @rtil

And I would've made 3 more if not for its release.

Mabelma responds:

Thanks for participating. I did like 30 trophies on this. Thanks for adding your 7 into the batch. Good job.

As per crew obligation, this is 5 stars.

This is literally a copy of the 'game' (if you can call it that) Eat spajeje.
The difference is that the background wobbles a lot more and you're eating Donald Trump, which now takes even longer with a stupider sound. I'd say this is the superior version.

Vidyabatter responds:

I second that, eevee. godspeed.

"Not recommended"
Score: 4

I wouldn't recommend this as a fighting game.

Story: Serviceable, but there's only one chapter and that's only 2 fights long, making three characters and three stages unusable in the story mode.

Gameplay: Slippery controls, you can pass through your enemy without taking a hit, allowing you to cheese the fight. Sure the ice man can freeze you, but that's about it.

Graphics: Very choppy.

Sound: No sound effects.

Arvie-k responds:

Sorry you didn't enjoy it
Also there’s going to be more to the story mode as more updates come
As for the controls I have gotten told that before and I'm looking into it and it'll be fixed up when I update this game sometime soon
And also I appreciate the critique, I'll keep it in mind so I can do better next time

(2 stars means 'NOTHING TOO NEW OR INTERESTING'. I'm styling this review as if I'm making this in 2007, so this explains the title and score)

Title: MAH TEETH HERT!

There is not a lot to this game. Here you eat a plate of Spaghetti-Os, ie. a literal PNG image of Spaghetti-Os on a plate. You even bite into the ceramic plate itself. That's literally the game!
Speaking of biting, you can't take another bite until after the bite sound is finished, which takes over 1 second.

The voices also aren't very clear and the only original graphics here are super low effort.

TL;DR One big joke out of a tiny 'game'.

Good luck beating the game without jumping!

Re: Rather than jumping, solely rely on gravity shifts for vertical movement in addition to walking, but not jumping. It should be possible, as I’ve beaten some levels this way.

It's great, but not perfect. If only it had the option to export a custom file (ie. similar to a PSD or FLA) so I don't permanently lose the source.

RE: @ayekerik: What skill thing? I just want to save my work so I don't lose it.

pollyanoid responds:

Sounds like a skill related thing

What would've been a perfectly simple platformer here is ruined by extremely basic and repetitive platforms with no background, a stickman who lost the skin off its left arm and leg, and no respawning after you fall off. You just have to restart the game.

There's also no music or sound effects, so if you're deaf you'd probably throw this game away too!

DaddyPL responds:

Well, I didn't think my first game was that funny

Thanks for the comment tho

Currently working on "Project Mystopia", the biggest game on Newgrounds, probably.
